From first mix to the main room.

I have just graduated from the 883 Academy. I can't recommend it enough. I went in at an intermediate level wanting to up my game & from the very first lesson my mixing was at another level. My confidence behind the decks has grown massively. If you're thinking about signing up then just do it, you certainly won't regret it!

Getting to play live on Centreforce radio was insane & very scary lol, but now I think if I held it together for that then anything is possible! … I couldn't have done it without my mentor Essex aka Stuart, who I now see as a mate rather than mentor.

I applied for the academy after hearing about it on Centreforce 883 and signed up not thinking I'd hear anything back, as it was just a pipe dream. Stuart (DJ Essex) called the following week and we had a great chat about the course … The mentors are super knowledgeable and approachable.

Graduation day was a great day … It was great to see Stuart again, DJ Archie and some of the Centreforce DJs that came out to support us all. … I'd highly recommend the 883 Academy to anyone looking to learn how to DJ or improve their existing skills. Don't think about it, DO IT!

The highlight of the course was graduation day, a chance to play your favourite tunes at a real venue on a proper sound system, a day never to forget. Seeing DJ Archie perform and meeting the Centreforce 883 crew was a real bonus, such a great bunch of talented and passionate people.

I signed up to the 883 Academy in late August and have enjoyed every single minute of it. If you're thinking about doing it, just do it.

The mentorship is outstanding, the theory is solid, the practical sessions are hands-on, and the end-of-course party is the perfect finale. … Huge shout-out to the entire 883 crew, DJ Archie and DJ Essex, and Theo (mentor) for making it all happen.

Our 15 yo daughter has just completed the beginner course with Stuart and the academy. He is an amazing teacher and mentor. She's loved every session and learning how to DJ, and can't wait to continue the next stage of her journey with the academy doing something she loves. The graduation day was amazing!! Can't recommend the academy enough. I started DJing around 2 years ago and I feel like I've progressed more just in this 8 week program! Stuart was more than helpful throughout the process, very knowledgeable in every aspect and has helped take me to the next level.

I've had such a fab time learning to DJ at 47! Stuart put me at ease from day one and I have loved every minute of our lessons and all the hours in between I've spent practising for graduation day. The day itself was really well organised and it was great to see all the other students do their thing and to meet some of the Centreforce team who have such passion for what they do. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone of any age.

So, I am 36 and a single mum. Always wanted to DJ but suffer with anxiety and lack of time and confidence. Met Stuart and immediately felt at home. Honestly, graduated today and not only did I play my set in front of loads of people (lifelong goal), but I smashed it, and I couldn't have done it without Stuart! I am on absolute cloud 9 right now! This course has been wicked, and it's like no other. No matter how old you are, young or old, don't hesitate. I've learned so much more than just being able to play.

Where do I start! We got in touch with [the Academy] and it was the best decision we made. [Our son] has always loved music and this has taken it to a whole new level. His mentor Keiron was amazing, he came to our house once a week for 8 weeks and the confidence we saw … as the weeks went by was incredible.
